Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Mathlite. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Mathlite mobile application ("App") and related services ("Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Mathlite, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Definitions

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or guardian's consent to use the App.

Account Registration

To save your progress, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

You may sign in with a code sent to your email, or with your Apple ID or Google account. By signing in with Apple or Google, you authorize us to access certain account information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Use of the Service

Mathlite is a mental math trainer that allows you to:

User Content and License

Your Content: You retain ownership of the Content created through your use of the App, such as your answers, scores, and progress.

License Grant: By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license includes the right to:

Educational Purpose

Mathlite is designed to help you practise mental arithmetic, for personal and educational purposes. The App is not a substitute for formal schooling, tutoring, or professional financial or technical advice. Progress depends on regular practice, and results such as "faster in 30 days" are estimates, not guarantees.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, lessons, features, functionality, logos, and branding, is owned by Mathlite and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the App may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

Google Play Terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service, these Terms shall prevail with respect to your use of the App.

Third-Party Services and Links

The App may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including:

These third-party services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in the App (Profile, then Help & support, then Delete account). Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease, and your data will be deleted in accordance with ourPrivacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MATHLITE, ITS OPERATOR, OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP; (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN; (C) ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THE APP; (D) ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE THAT MAY BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE APP; OR (E) ANY ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN THE CONTENT PROVIDED.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mathlite, its operator Hakim Mohamed, and any affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution in the courts of Egypt.

Electronic Communications

By using the App and providing your email address, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including sign-in codes, service announcements, administrative messages, and other information related to your account or the App. You agree that any notices, agreements, disclosures, or other communications that we send to you electronically will satisfy any legal communication requirements.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, notifying you via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity of any provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mathlite regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral, concerning the subject matter hereof.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of Mathlite.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
